BEFORE YOU START!

  • Both wired and WI-FI network connections are supported for data transfer but should not be mixed (i.e. 1 PC on wired and the other on WI-FI) as most home internet setups have these 2 types on entirely separate networks.
  • Security software such as Anti-virus and Firewalls is not compatible with Transfer MyPC operation. You must disable all such software on both PCs for the entire duration of a transfer.
  • Please refer to the detailed manual included for more information than is included in this quick-start guide.
  • If you are transferring more than 20 GBs of applications and data from your old computer, we recommend splitting up the procedure into multiple smaller transfers.
  • If you are encountering problems with the transfer we strongly recommend you learn how to enable detailed logging. You can then send the resulting log files to the Orlogix support team for analysis.

Overview of "Transfer MyPC 11 Pro with Application Mover"

You can use this product to easily and automatically copy your files, settings and compatible applications from the old PC to the new PC. This product should be installed on both PCs before use. This software is only intended for use on Microsoft Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, Vista or XP(old PC only). The old and new PCs don’t have to have the same version of Microsoft Windows or Office (if installed) but the versions on the new PC cannot be older than the versions on the old PC. There is no limit to the number of user accounts or size of data that you can copy. Each license you purchase as part of this product allows you to do the transfer process from one specific old PC to one specific new PC, repeating the process as many times as you need.

Transfer MyPC 11 Pro with Application Mover Installation

If you cannot use your Transfer MyPC Product CD/USB key on a PC (for example due to faulty hardware parts) then you must manually copy the install files to it. These files can be obtained either from the “netbook” folder on your product CD/USB key or from netbook.orlogix.com

For each PC you wish to install a product on, do the following.

  • Insert “Transfer MyPC” CD/USB key in your PC
  • If your PC uses default settings, the “Transfer MyPC” menu will appear automatically on your screen in about one minute.
  • If it doesn’t, please follow instructions appropriate to your PC in appendices A, B, C or D to manually launch the menu.
  • When the menu appears, you can browse it for more information and install your product.
  • During the installation simply follow the on-screen wizard clicking next at each stage.

We recommend not changing the default installation procedure settings presented unless you have a specific need to. You must install “Transfer MyPC” on both your old and new PCs. You must install “Transfer MyPC” on both your old and new PCs. It doesn’t matter which order you do this. As part of the installation you may be prompted to allow the automatic installation of "Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables". This is normal and you should approve the request.

Transfer MyPC 11 Pro with Application Mover Usage

  1. On Each PC

    1. Start the process here by double-clicking the “Orlogix Transfer MyPC” shortcut on your desktop and approving any security confirmations you may see.
    2. You will see the “Welcome to Transfer MyPC” screen.
    3. Choose "Transfer Between PCs" or see manual for "Advanced Options"
    4. Serial Number Validation, asks for your serial number details.
  2. On NEW PC

    1. If the other PC is not automatically found within 60 seconds, try clicking "rescan" or see manual for more help
    2. This guide assumes a transfer over Network , see manual for other transport choices.
    3. Once other PC is "Found" click "Analyze PC" to proceed
    4. Once "Analyze PC" is complete click "Next" to transfer everything or "Choose what to transfer" otherwise.
    5. Click "Start Transfer" to begin the transfer
    6. If there is any error see manual for more help
    7. Your PC will now reboot to complete the process.
